chocolate covered peanut butter balls

Another favorite Christmas candy of my family. The recipe came from a good friend, Chestine Green Alexander.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 10 ounces chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped very fine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 stick paraffin wax

How To Make chocolate covered peanut butter balls

  • Step 1
    Combine sugar, margarine, graham cracker crumbs, pecans, peanut butter, and vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Mix well. Form into small balls and chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    After chilling, dip balls in chocolate mixture made of melting the paraffin wax and chocolate pieces in a double boiler.
  • Step 4
    Keep mixture hot. Dip each ball in the chocolate mixture and place on wax paper.
  • Step 5
    Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
