Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls

Another favorite Christmas candy of my family. The recipe came from a good friend, Chestine Green Alexander.

  • 12 oz
    semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 10 oz
    chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped very fine
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 stick
    margarine, melted
  • 1 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 box
    powdered sugar
  • 1 stick
    paraffin wax

How to Make Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls


  1. Combine sugar, margarine, graham cracker crumbs, pecans, peanut butter, and vanilla.
  2. Mix well. Form into small balls and chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
  3. After chilling, dip balls in chocolate mixture made of melting the paraffin wax and chocolate pieces in a double boiler.
  4. Keep mixture hot. Dip each ball in the chocolate mixture and place on wax paper.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
