The holidays are coming.....time to start cooking. This is a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 pound light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped nuts

How To Make butterscotch nuggets (sallye)

  • Step 1
    Grease and flour two 9" square baking dishes Set aside Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Step 2
    Melt butter in sauce pan and add sugar, stirring just until sugar is incorporated Cool slightly
  • Step 3
    Add eggs to butter mixture, mixing well with wooden spoon Stir in flour, vanilla and nuts
  • Step 4
    Spread mixture evenly in bottom of greased and floured dishes (to about 1/3" depth) Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes Remove from oven, cool and cut into squares
