Betty's Festive Fruit and Nut Slice with Chocolate
I've been making this for the past 4 years as presents (teachers and friends). It takes less than an hour from start to finish. I usually make about 4 at a time and can be made a few days in advance, so it's perfect for the festive season!

How to Make Betty's Festive Fruit and Nut Slice with Chocolate
- Pre-heat oven to 150oC (300oF). Grease and line a sheet cake pan. Set it aside.
- Mix everything except the chocolate together in a large bowl and press into the prepared tin. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate and pour over the hot slice and smooth it out. Cool completely, remove the slice from the pan (using the baking paper to grip on to) and slice into bars or squares.
