bea's peanut butter fudge
I have been using this recipe for so many years I cannot, for the life of me, remember where it came from. My son and granddaughter loves this fudge so I make it for them.

Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk, undiluted
- 3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons dark syrup(ie, karo or king)
How To Make bea's peanut butter fudge
-
Step 1Combine sugar, butter and milk in a medium size heavy saucepan. Boil until sugar has dissolved over medium heat, sirring constantly. Cook to the soft ball stage, which takes about 15-20 minutes once boiling. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Beat until mixture has thickened then pour into a buttered 2 1/2 quart oblong glass dish. Cool and cut.

Step 2Note: I also use creamy peanut butter sometimes. I also like the extra crunchy but it's hard to find.
