Ingredients For 20 minute fudge

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk (5 oz can)
  • 1/2 c
    unsalted butter
  • 12 lg
    marshmallows
  • pinch
    salt
  • 1 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    toasted nuts, chopped (walnuts, pecans, macademias))
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make 20 minute fudge

    Butter an 8 inch square pan. Set aside.

    Note: To make cutting easy, you can line the pan with parchment, allowing plenty of overhang to lift the cooled fudge from the pan. Be sure to butter the parchment after fitting into the pan.

    In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, butter, marshmallows and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

    Add the chocolate chips to the saucepan. stir until the chocolate melts completely. Stir in the nuts and vanilla.

    Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Allow to cool completely and then cut into squares. Makes about 2 pounds of fudge.
