I like pears but they seem so hard in the grocery store. I decided that I would use fresh pears in this homemade cake. It is both light and moist, spicey yet pear-y, and altogether remarkable. It keeps well but I warn you that it doesn't last to long.I made this up and I hope you like it.

Ingredients

sugar
3 large
eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c
cooking oil,
3 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
vanilla
2 tsp
cinnamon
3 c
thinly sliced pears, cored and peeled
1/2 c
golden raisins

CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR GLAZE

1 1/4 c
sifted confectioner's sugar
2-4 Tbsp
milk

How to Make Zelda's Fresh Pear Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cake: Combine sugar, eggs, and oil. Beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.Add to sugar mixture, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, Pears, and raisins. Turn into wellgreased 10 inch Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour Remove from pan and allow to cool.Pour Confectioner's sugar glaze on top.
    Glaze: Combine sugar and milk, blending until smooth.
