yellow chiffon cake
This recipe comes from a 50 year old cookbook that I still got to often. All the recipes are very basic made from ingredients you probably have. I have made some adjustments to it. I hope others enjoy it.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 3 - eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make yellow chiffon cake

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.

Step 2Beat the egg whites until very frothy. Slowly add 1/2 c. sugar and beat until stiff.

Step 3In a new bowl add all dry ingredients. Combine. Add butter, 1/2 c. milk and vanilla. Beat for 1 min. Add the remainder of the milk and 3 egg yolks. Beat an additional minute.

Step 4Fold the beaten egg whites into the the flour mixture. Bake 30-40 min until center of the cake is done.
