wineberry coffee cake
Wineberrys grow in our area wild and are great in a cake or pie. They are similar in taste to raspberrys but milder & sweeter. To me this is a very good recipe. Try it ! Will work with blueberrys also.

- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 - egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups wineberrys (fresh or thawed frozen)
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 stick butter, unsalted cold firm
How To Make wineberry coffee cake

Step 1In large bowl Sift 2 cups flour, sugar,baking powder,and salt.Add butter sour cream and egg and mix well with spoon.Fold in 1 cup of berrys.Spread in a greased 8x8x2 Sq. pan or 9x11x1 pan.

Step 2Combine 1/3 cup flour, brown sugar, cinnamon & cold butter with pastry blender to form crumbles. Sprinkle over batter & top with rest of berrys.

Step 3Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 min.or until tests done.Serve warm with butter or whipped cream.
