- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup almond flour
- 1/3 cup turbano sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 5 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons almond milk
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1Preheat oven to 300F and lightly grease a 9x9 glass baking pan.

Step 2Combine all dry ingredients except for the walnuts in a large mixing bowl and whisk until they are well-mixed.

Step 3Process the bananas in a food processor until smooth, then add oil, applesauce, and vanilla, processing until they are well mixed.

Step 4Fold the banana mixture into the dry mix, adding the almond milk one tablespoon at a time until you have reached the proper consistency. Fold in the walnuts (optional)

Step 5Transfer the batter into the pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is firm and a toothpick comes out clean.
