How to Make Whole Wheat Vegan Banana Walnut Cake
- Preheat oven to 300F and lightly grease a 9x9 glass baking pan.
- Combine all dry ingredients except for the walnuts in a large mixing bowl and whisk until they are well-mixed.
- Process the bananas in a food processor until smooth, then add oil, applesauce, and vanilla, processing until they are well mixed.
- Fold the banana mixture into the dry mix, adding the almond milk one tablespoon at a time until you have reached the proper consistency. Fold in the walnuts (optional)
- Transfer the batter into the pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is firm and a toothpick comes out clean.
