Ingredients
- BROWNIES
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup white chocolate or vanilla baking chips
- FROSTING
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (any good kind)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 package (8oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or maple extract/flavoring if you prefer
How To Make white maple brownies

Step 1Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add nuts, mix well, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350° F.

Step 2Melt 1/3 cup butter, add 1 cup brown sugar, and stir well. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Gradually combine with flour mixture, mixing well. Fold in white chocolate or vanilla baking chips. Pour into a 9-inch square pan and bake at 350° F for 20-25 minutes.

Step 3To make the Sauce: Combine the syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir or gently whisk in brown sugar until dissolved and remove from heat. Add in cream cheese and vanilla or maple extract whisk until smooth. Return to heat until it reaches desired consistency.
