Imagined this combination as I made cupcakes for an Independence Day party...words such as "amazing" and "my cupcakes never taste like THIS!!" were flying out of people's mouths when they weren't filled with a cupcake!

Ingredients

  • CUPCAKES

  • 1
    duncan hines french vanilla cake mix
  • ·
    ingredients to make the cake
  • CUPCAKE FILLING

  • 1-8 oz pkg
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1/3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 6 oz
    vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • CREAM CHEESE ICING

  • 2-8 oz pkg
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick
    salted butter, softened
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How to Make White Chocolate Cheesecake Filled Vanilla Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

Step-by-Step

  1. Make cake mix according to directions on box for cupcakes. Fill lined cupcake tins 1/2 full.
  2. Mix cream cheese, egg, sugar and white chocolate chips until well blended.
  3. Add chips and beat for 3 minutes.
  4. Drop a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture into each half filled cupcake liner.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes.
  6. While cupcakes are baking, cream together butter, cream cheese and vanilla, add confectioners' sugar 1 cup at at time, beat until fluffy.
  7. Once cupcakes are completely cooled, frost with cream cheese icing.
