How to Make Washington State Apple Cake
- Beat sugar and eggs together. Ad oil, orange juice and vanilla. Blend well.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together and add gradually to the sugar mixture.
- Grease and flour lightly a Bundt pan or 10 inch tube pan.
Mix together the ingredients for the filling:
Apples, cinnamon,sugar, walnuts and raisins.
Pour half of batter in pan and add filling on top
- Cover with remaining batter.
Bake at 350' for 50--60 minutes.
Check for doneness.
- You might want to top this cake with a dusting of confectioner's sugar or your favorite glaze. My favorite is a light cream cheese glaze.
