Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (16 oz) can cream cheese frosting

How To Make velvet ribbon cake

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray Bundt pan with no stick baking spray and dust with scant amount of flour.
  • Step 2
    Prepare cake according to directions on box, using water, oil and 3 of the eggs. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step 3
    Beat cream cheese and flour with mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, sweetened condensed milk and remaining 2 eggs. Beat until smooth. Spread mixture over cake batter.
  • Step 4
    Bake 60 to 65 minutes. Cool 1 hour. Remove from pan. Cool completely on rack. Place cream cheese frosting in microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Stir until melted and smooth and pour over cake. Enjoy
