I have made this recipe before and it is easy peasy . I got this recipe from "foodnetwork.com" It is one of Alton Brown's recipe.
This vanilla sugar adds extra great flavour to your coffee and baking.

How to Make Vanilla Sugar

Step-by-Step

  1. If vanilla bean is whole, slice down side of bean with the back of the knife and scrape seeds into an airtight container with the sugar.
  2. Bury bean and seeds in sugar and seal tightly with a lid.
  3. Let sit for one to two weeks.
  4. Use as regular granulated sugar in coffee and baking etc..
