THIS CHRISTMAS GIVE THEM A GOLDEN FRUIT CAKE! Another recipe I have been saving from my 60 years of collecting SPECIAL RECIPES, and now I would like to share them with you. Plump golden raisins make these pretty molded fruit cakes ideal for Holiday Giving. Wrap in saran and add a gorgeous GOLDEN RIBBON BOW! Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 - eggs, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon brandy extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups golden raisins
- 1 cup chopped dried golden apricots
- 1/2 cup chopped candied orange peel
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
How To Make two golden christmas fruit cakes

Step 1Beat butter until light and creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until smooth..Beat egg yolks lightly and add. Combine milk, brandy and vanilla. Combine flour and salt together.

Step 2Alternately add milk mix and flour mix to butter mix. Fold in fruit and nuts. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar together until Fold egg whites into batter gently but thoroughly . stiff but not dry.

Step 3Pour into two buttered and floured six cup molds. Bake at 275 for 2 and 1/2 hours. Or until the test done. Cool and unmold.
