Ingredients
- CAKE
- 1 package cake mix, chocolate fudge
- 3 - eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 4 ounces sour cream
- 1 package instant pudding, chocolate
- GANACHE
- 1 1/3 cups heavy cream, whipped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 16 ounces 60% cacao chocolate
- CARAMEL
- 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How To Make turtle cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Mix all of the ingredients together, pour into two cake pans and bake for 35 minutes. When done, set aside to cool.

Step 2CARAMEL: Bring all ingredients (except vanilla) to a boil, stirring slowly. Keep it at a boil until it reaches soft ball stage. Use med-low heat and a pot that heats evenly. Once it is ready, pour into a buttered pan and set aside.

Step 3GANACHE: Bring the cream and butter to a boil, pour over chocolate until smooth and all the chocolate is blended with the cream. Set aside and let cool.

Step 4ASSEMBLY: Once everything is done, take one cake and place on a large plate or cake holder. Spread caramel over the cake and add pecans if desired. Place other cake on top and pour the ganache over the cake.
