The original recipe I had called for raspberries. Both options are great.

Ingredients

1 box white cake mix
1 box strawberry gelatin
1 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
4 - eggs
1 cup thawed, mashed/chopped strawberries in juice
1 can cream cheese frosting
1 - tub cool whip

How To Make strawberry decadence

Step 1

For icing: One can cream cheese frosting. One tub cool whip. Juice (couple tsps) from strawberries. Blend & chill. Fold gently

Step 2

Mix cake ingredients. Reserving a little strawberry juice for icing. Do not drain your strawberries. The juice is needed for color and moisture.
Step 3

Greese and flour cake pans. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
