Ingredients For strawberry cake

  • 1 box
    white cake mix
  • 1 sm
    strawberry jello
  • 1 c
    crisco oil
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    frozen strawberries (thawed w/juice)
  • 1 c
    pecans - chopped
  • 1 c
    coconut, shredded
  • ICING
  • 1 box
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    frozen strawberries, drained
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped

How To Make strawberry cake

  • 1
    Mix first 9 ingredients and divide mixture into 3 cake pans. Note: do not mix up cake by box directions use only the dry cake mix!) Fold in pecans and coconut last. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 Minutes or until cake is done. Remove from oven and let cool.

    Icing: Melt butter, add 1/2 cup strawberry's and mix with the confectioner's sugar. Blend, then add 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup pecans. Spread on cooled cake. We like this cake refrigerated but doesn't have to be.
