A light and delicious chocolate cake you can make without using an oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • MY 1 MINUTE CHOCOLATE ICING RECIPE
  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar/ icing sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder sifted
  • 50g - butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons full (40ml) milk
  • - combine all ingredients & mix well using a wooden spoon.
  • - spread on top of the cake using an spatula. refrigerate before serving.

How To Make steamed chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in a saucepan, add oil, evaporated milk and sugar; stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Take off fire and slightly cool, add the beaten eggs and stir until well mixed.
  • Step 2
    Sift the flour,cocoa powder,baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl.
  • Step 3
    Fold flour mixture into the egg & milk mixture (or the other way around, it doesn’t make any difference) mix well until there are no more lumps.
  • Step 4
    Gently pour into the prepared aluminum pan or pyrex and place into the steamer and cover the top of the aluminum pan or pyrex loosely with a piece of aluminium foil.
  • Step 5
    Completely cool before adding your favorite frosting.
