Ingredients

2 c
flour(sifted)
2 tsp
baking powder
3
eggs
1/2 c
water
2 c
sugar or splenda sugar
1/4 tsp
light salt
2 Tbsp
orange juice
1 tsp
grated orange rind

How to Make Sponge Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Sifted flour and baking powder several times.
    Stir egg yolks with water until light and thick.
    Add half the sugar gradually and continue beating.
  • 2Fold in the flour and baking powder.
    Beat egg whites stiffly with salt and beat balance of sugar with them.
    Add flavoring.
    Fold this mixuture into batter.
  • 3Spread in ungreased loaf pan.
    Bake for about 60 minutes.
    Cool in pan.
