I looking gingercake not using molasses. I dont have in the kitchen I am diabetic.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or sugar-free maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted

How To Make spiced gingercake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 350F. Combine dry ingredients in bowl and lightly whisk together. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Using a rubber spatula a mix wet and dry ingredients until combined.
  • Step 2
    Pour in greased 9X5 loaf pan or cake pan. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the toothpick inserted come out clean.
  • Step 3
    If the top begin to too brown lay sheet of foil on the top prevent burning (I did this a 30 minutes). Allow to cool for one hour before removing from the pan.
