How to Make Sugar Cakes by Rose
- 1First section: Mix until creamy: shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla and baking powder....set aside
- 2Second: Mix seperately, buttermilk and baking soda
- 3Third:Alternate buttermilk mixture with 4 cups of flour into the creamed mixture.
- 4Set oven at 350. Drop by spoonfulls onto a greased cookie sheet... u can use tablespoon full if you want them larger. Put at least 2 inches apart. Sprinkle lightly with sugar BEFORE baking. 12 to 14 minutes....should be lightly browned.
