ro's yogurt cake
My hunny loves cakes and this one is not really sweet (except for the powdered sugar and chocolate), but it is really moist and so simple to make. It is so versatile as well since you can either use plain yogurt or you can use the flavored ones. I love the fruit at the bottom yogurts so it gives it some pieces of fruit mixed in the cake. I used black cherry for the cake pictured, but I have done this with other flavors too.

How To Make ro's yogurt cake
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour Bundt pan. I use Bakers Joy to save time.
-
Step 2Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together. Add egg one at a time and beat until smooth. Add Baking Soda and Baking Powder and mix. Alternate flour and yogurt and mix well. Pour in pan and bake for 50 minutes (depending on oven) or until knife comes out clean.
-
Step 3When cake is cool dust with powdered sugar. Take the chocolate chips and shortening and heat in microwave 15 seconds at a time until melted. Take a sandwich bag (I open it up and put it in a cup and fold the sides down over it making it easier to fill bag) and pour the melted chocolate in the bag. Hold close and make sure all the chocolate is to the bottom of one corner. Cut a small hole in the bottom and drizzle this over the cake.
