  • PART 1

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    cocoa
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • PART 2

  • 1/2 TO 2/3 c
    shortening
  • 1 slice
    sugar
  • 2 medium
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 2/3 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 2 to 2 1/2 c
    cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make RED CHOCOLATE CAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together Part 1 and bring to boiling point. cook
  2. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy, add eggs and beat thoroughly.
  3. Sift flour; measure and add salt and soda. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with vanilla. Combine with first mixture.
  4. Pour into two 8" layer pans, greased with flour. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
