Ingredients

PART 1

1/2 c
sugar
2/3 c
cocoa
1/2 c
water

PART 2

1/2 TO 2/3 c
shortening
1 slice
sugar
2 medium
eggs
1 tsp
soda
2/3 tsp
salt
1/2 c
water
2 to 2 1/2 c
cake flour
1/2 tsp
vanilla

How to Make RED CHOCOLATE CAKE

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix together Part 1 and bring to boiling point. cook
  • 2Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy, add eggs and beat thoroughly.
  • 3Sift flour; measure and add salt and soda. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with vanilla. Combine with first mixture.
  • 4Pour into two 8" layer pans, greased with flour. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
