raw apple cake (with cream cheese frosting)
Well its too cool to sit on porch today so spent the day going threw Moms recipes. This was one of my favorites.

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup shortning
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 cups apples (diced)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- CREAM CEESE FROSTING
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon milk (add more if needed)
How To Make raw apple cake (with cream cheese frosting)

Step 1Cream Sugars and shortening, add eggs.

Step 2Sift the dry ingredients add alternately to cream mixture with milk. Add apples and nuts.

Step 3Spray 9x13 pan, pour batter into pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on rack.

Step 4Mix cream cheese and butter together, add powdered sugar, milk,and vanilla beat till smooth frost cake.
