NOTE: This is the optional recipe to go with the "Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake" recipe that I have already posted on Just A Pinch...make this dessert topping after the cheesecake has chilled for atleast 24 hours.

packed brown sugar
1/2 c
whipping cream
1 c
powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Praline Topping


  • 1Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat; stirring often
  • 2Then boil while stirring occasionally for 1 minute
  • 3Remove from heat
  • 4Gradually whip in sugar and vanilla until smooth
  • 5Let stand for 5 minutes while whisking occasionally
  • 6Use immediately as an optional ingredient to "Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake"
