Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup ( 2 stick's ) butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup (1 stick ) butter for frosting
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder for frosting
- 6 tablespoons milk for frosting
- 4 cups ( 1 lb. ) powdered sugar for frosting
- 1 cup chopped nuts for frosting
How To Make polly's chocolate sheet cake

Step 1Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

Step 2Heat butter and water in a sauce pan until boiling. Pour over dry ingredirnts, mix well. Beat in buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla.

Step 3Pour thin batter in greased and floured 15 by 10 inch pan.

Step 4Bake in 400 degree oven 20 minutes.

Step 5While cake is cooling make frosting. When cake is complete cool frost cake.
