I made a super deep chocolate cake with peanut butter butter cream frosting. The peanut butter butter cream has been a great little recipe for me. Everyone I know has loved it so far, to the point where I'm constantly using it in stuff. So I'm posting it by itself here and now!
In a large mixing bowl cream butter and peanut butter together. Beat in vanilla. Then gradually beat in confectioner's sugar until complete incorporated and fluffy. Then slowly fold in the chocolate syrup until completely incorporated.
Spread at room temperature across cakes or any other dessert you like.
