orange suprise cake with blueberry sauce
over the weekend we visited the local orchard, we came home with over 5lbs of blueberries and blackberries. wanting to try something new(of course) i sifted through recipe after recipe until i decided, why not make something up myself. i came up with this recipe with the ingredients i had on hand, it turned out great(whew). hope you enjoy!

- 1 box orange flavor cake mix
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed
- 3-4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- - water
- 1/4 cup cream
How To Make orange suprise cake with blueberry sauce

Step 1Grease and flour bundt or sheet cake pan. Prepare cake according to box directions, adding the 2 tblsp of sour cream, i poured half the batter into pan then a layer of whole blueberries, then the rest of the batter.

Step 2Meanwhile, add about 1c water to small saucepan with the blueberries and sugar, bring to slow boil, mash blueberries(i used a potato masher). continue boil, add honey,stirring, add cream, about 1/4c. continue at a simmer until slightly thick.

Step 3When cake is slightly cooled, using handle end of wooden spoon, poke a few holes around top of cake. Pour blueberry sauce over.
