This is my lighter version of the traditional pastry cream puff. They are very delicious and simple to make and most of all not so bad for our waistlines :)

container of light cool whip (any brand)
1
orange, will need zest, and some juice
1 box
puff pastry sheets, thawed
1 qt
strawberries, fresh

How to Make Orange and Strawberry Cream Puffs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Get your puff pastry thawed and cut into small circles and bake them according to the directions on the box.
  • 2Zest the whole orange and juice half of the orange.
  • 3Slice your strawberries, you can make them into little fans if you'd like.
  • 4Your puff pastry circle will puff up while baking, cut the top off and make a well in the middle of your circle.
  • 5Mix 3/4 of your orange zest and 2 tablespoons of the fresh orange juice into your lite cool whip.
  • 6Fill your puff pastry circles with the cool whip, top with your strawberry fans and garnish with some of the remaining orange zest.
