These are so easy to make that when I get a last minute call from one of our kids, friends or family I whip them up and they never seem to last. Daddy always has to have the first one while they are still hot.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
  • 4 - eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

How To Make one bowl brownies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven at 350 degrees (325 degrees if using a glass pan)
  • Step 2
    Grease or spray 8 x 12 pan. Put oil in a bowl. Stir in cocoa, eggs, sugar, Karo and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt into cocoa mix. Stir in nuts if you are using them.
  • Step 3
    Pour into baking dish and bake.
  • Step 4
    They are chewier if you do not over beat or over bake.
