How to Make Newingham's Bakery Caramel Frosting
- Combine brown sugar, butter and milk in deep saucepan without Teflon as you will be using beaters. Bring to a low boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool to lukewarm.
- Beat in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Makes enough for 1 1/2-2 dozen cupcakes or one 9x13 cake.
