creamy caramel frosting
This is my very favorite frosting. I request it for my birthday every year. Perfect for so many things, including fresh apple cake, zucchini cupcakes, and carrot cake. Lick the bowl clean good. =)

Ingredients
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2-2 cups powdered sugar
How To Make creamy caramel frosting

Step 1Combine brown sugar, butter and milk in deep saucepan without Teflon as you will be using beaters. Bring to a low boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes.

Step 2Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool to lukewarm.

Step 3Beat in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 4Makes enough for 1 1/2-2 dozen cupcakes or one 9x13 cake.
