Our Kentucky jam cake. My mom has made this ever year for us for Christmas.Now i help her we make about 13 cakes .a about a week befor Christmas. There is 8 of us kids we have a big family.This is our family tradition. This was my Great grandmothers recipe.It is so good hope you like

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 6 - eggs
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup blackberry jam, seedless
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon clove, ground
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- IN LARGE BOWL MIX EVERTHING TOGETHER WELL PUT IN GREASE AND FLOURED TUBE PAN

Step 1bake at 350 for 20min Then turn oven down to 275 bake for about 1 hour brush orange juice over cake and wrap in foil while still hot . You could put iceing on it . Caramel iceing would be good Some times my grandmother did that.
