This is an old fashioned short cake recipe. I always use it for strawberries.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup scalded milk (milk heated to boiling point)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make mom's short cake

Step 1Put eggs and sugar in bowl. Beat until thick. Add flour. Bring your milk to boiling point and add to mixture while hot.

Step 2Add your vanilla, baking powder and salt. Bake in sheet pan at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes. Serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
