Here's another one of my mom's specialty's. These are delicious! Great banana flavor, and the cream cheese frosting is soooo good. Enjoy!

Ingredients For mom's frosted banana bars

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • FROSTING
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 3/4 to 4 c
    confectioners sugar

How To Make mom's frosted banana bars

  • 1
    Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla.

    Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to cream mixture. Stir in mashed bananas.

    Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely.

    PREPARE THE FROSTING Beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together. Gradually beat in enough confectioners sugar for desired consistency.

    Spread frosting, and cut into desired size bars. Enjoy! These are yummy!
