Here's another one of my mom's specialty's. These are delicious! Great banana flavor, and the cream cheese frosting is soooo good. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, softened
1 1/2 c
sugar
2
eggs
1 c
sour cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt
2
bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)

FROSTING

8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1/2 c
butter, softened
2 tsp
vanilla extract
3 3/4 to 4 c
confectioners sugar

How to Make Mom's Frosted Banana Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla.
  • 2Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

    Gradually add to cream mixture.

    Stir in mashed bananas.
  • 3Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Cool completely.
  • 4PREPARE THE FROSTING

    Beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together.
    Gradually beat in enough confectioners sugar for desired consistency.
  • 5Spread frosting, and cut into desired size bars.

    Enjoy! These are yummy!
  • 6Store in the refrigerator.
