mayonnaise (salad dressing) cake
My grandmother and Mom used to make this for us. My uncle always requested it for his birthday cake. It was best iced with Mom's Chocolate Frosting which I'll post also. I don't have a picture for it yet, but will post one soon.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise (you can use salad dressing)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - egg yolks
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make mayonnaise (salad dressing) cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour pan(s).

Step 2Mix first 7 ingredients thoroughly.

Step 3Combine hot water and baking soda, then add to above mixture.

Step 4Pour into prepared pans. Bake 30-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Step 5Let cool then ice. (My mom always used her homemade chocolate frosting. It hardened up and was almost like a glaze of fudge)
