I was thinking of making the usual Congo bars I always make. I decided to swap out some ingredients and came up with these. They are to die for. "Oh my goodness". The coconut,almond,and M&M's go so well together. My family loved them.My daughter is bringing them to a Halloween party this evening.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coconut (toasted)
  • 1 cup almonds chopped in food processor and toasted
  • 1 cup chocolate candies like mini m & m's
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make m&m coconut almond blondie’s by nor

  • Step 1
    Pre heat oven to 350 degree's.Toast the coconut in 350 oven for 5 minutes until golden. Toast the chopped almonds about 10-15 minutes until slightly browned
  • Step 2
    Melt the 3/4 cup of butter in a large bowl. add brown sugar stir well. Add the eggs,and and vanilla,and whisk together,and set aside
  • Step 3
    combine flour,salt and baking powder together.
  • Step 4
    add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and combine well. Do not beat.
  • Step 5
    Add the coconut almonds,and chocolate candies and blend. Pour in to a parchment lined 9x13 pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Top will be browned.
  • Step 6
    cool and cut in to squares
