m&m coconut almond blondie’s by nor
I was thinking of making the usual Congo bars I always make. I decided to swap out some ingredients and came up with these. They are to die for. "Oh my goodness". The coconut,almond,and M&M's go so well together. My family loved them.My daughter is bringing them to a Halloween party this evening.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup coconut (toasted)
- 1 cup almonds chopped in food processor and toasted
- 1 cup chocolate candies like mini m & m's
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1Pre heat oven to 350 degree's.Toast the coconut in 350 oven for 5 minutes until golden. Toast the chopped almonds about 10-15 minutes until slightly browned

Step 2Melt the 3/4 cup of butter in a large bowl. add brown sugar stir well. Add the eggs,and and vanilla,and whisk together,and set aside

Step 3combine flour,salt and baking powder together.

Step 4add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and combine well. Do not beat.

Step 5Add the coconut almonds,and chocolate candies and blend. Pour in to a parchment lined 9x13 pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Top will be browned.

Step 6cool and cut in to squares
