I was thinking of making the usual Congo bars I always make. I decided to swap out some ingredients and came up with these. They are to die for. "Oh my goodness". The coconut,almond,and M&M's go so well together. My family loved them.My daughter is bringing them to a Halloween party this evening.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    butter (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    coconut (toasted)
  • 1 c
    almonds chopped in food processor and toasted
  • 1 c
    chocolate candies like mini m & m's
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make M&M Blondie’s by Nor

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degree's.Toast the coconut in 350 oven for 5 minutes until golden. Toast the chopped almonds about 10-15 minutes until slightly browned
  2. Melt the 3/4 cup of butter in a large bowl. add brown sugar stir well. Add the eggs,and and vanilla,and whisk together,and set aside
  3. combine flour,salt and baking powder together.
  4. add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and combine well. Do not beat.
  5. Add the coconut almonds,and chocolate candies and blend. Pour in to a parchment lined 9x13 pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Top will be browned.
  6. cool and cut in to squares
