low fat gingerbread
A lower fat version of this favorite dessert. If you don’t have dry buttermilk powder, use regular buttermilk; mix it in with the wet ingredients and omit the water.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons dry buttermilk powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 - egg
How To Make low fat gingerbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, sugar and buttermilk powder in a large mixingl bowl. Whisk together until blended.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.

Step 4Pour into prepared pan and bake 25 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 5Cool in pan on wire rack. Serve warm or room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream.
