- 3 cups flour, sifted well
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup crisco shortening (mawmaw said it has to be crisco)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon lemon extract
- and the - juice of 1/2 lemon
How To Make lemon pound cake

Step 1Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

Step 2Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
