Ingredients
- DOUGH
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons dry milk
- 2 teaspoons active yeast
- FILLING
- 1 (8oz) package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- GLAZE
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
How To Make king cake

Step 1Mix ingredients for dough; separate into 2 equal portions. Place on floured board and roll out into rectangles about 1/4" thick.

Step 2Soften cream cheese and mix ingredients for filling. Spread filling over the dough.

Step 3Roll dough sections from long side. Twist the two sections around each other and place in greased tube baking pan.

Step 4Let rise in warm place until double sized (about 1 hour).

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Step 6Let cool completely. While cooling, mix ingredients for glaze. When cooled, glaze.

Step 7For added fun, separate glaze into three parts and add purple, green and yellow food coloring, then glaze your cake!
