My mother in law gave me this recipe about 5 years ago . This cake recipe is very good . my husband loves this .

vegetable oil
1/4 c
orange juice, fresh
2 tsp
vanilla extract
apples . peeled , cored & sliced
2 tsp
5 Tbsp

How to Make Jewish Apple Cake


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 F ,
    Grease & flour 1 10 inch tube pan or a bundt pan will do to.
    Combine the ground cinnamon , 5 tablespoons of sugar and apples . mix them then set aside for now.
  • 2In large mixing bowl , combine flour, salt , baking powder , 2 cups sugar , stir in veg oil , beaten eggs , orange juice and vanilla . mix well
  • 3pour 1/2 of the batter into prepared pan , top with 1/2 apple mixture . pour the remaining batter over the apples then pour remaining batter then top that with the remaining apple mixture .
  • 4Bake at 350 f for 70 to 90 minutes . either serve warm , or if you want to serve warm with vanilla ice cream on top .
