this can not go wrong no matter in what order you do the steps this will be delicious :) i make it different ways each year just for a change like a solid Jello layer with cake/Jello/fruit mix on top

Ingredients

  • 1 - premade angel food cake
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 2 packages strawberry jello
  • 1 package frozen strawberries allow to partially thaw
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar - to sweeten whip cream may not need all
  • 1 package unflavoured gelatin

How To Make jello fruit cake

  • Step 1
    dissolve 1 package Jello in 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup cold water and let set in a rectangle plastic or baking pan then cut into 1 inch chunks. dissolve other Jello package in one cup boiling water and add no cool water set aside for now mix 1 package unflavored gelatin as package directions and mix with unset Jello
  • Step 2
    break up partially thawed strawberries and set aside break angel food cake into bite size chunk and set aside
  • Step 3
    beat the whipping cream to stiff peaks (add a little sugar to keep them stiff ans sweetened to taste)
  • Step 4
    very lightly oil a 9" tube pan and arrange the chunks of cake, Jello and fruit in bottom with spoon fulls of the whip cream gently pour remaining Jello/gelatin mix over to top
  • Step 5
    chill till Jello/gelatin is set another variation of this is to fold the whipped cream into the Jello gelatin mix and follow step 4 and 5. you will not need much sugar if doing this way
