I have made banana bread for as long as I can remember. I tweeked my recipe for years and I believe I hit the nail on the head with this one. I hope you love it.

    ripe bananas
  • 1/8 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 cup
  • 1 cup
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 pinch

  • 1 cup
    powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 tsp
    butter softened
  • pinch
  • 2 tsp
    heavy cream

How to Make Honeys Banana Bread


  1. Preheat oven to to 350
  2. Greese a large loaf pan and set aside
  3. In large mixing bowl with fork cream your 5 bananas and your 2 eggs cream until smooth add your 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar cream until smooth
  4. Add your 3 1/2 cups of flour to your mixture slowly cream in flour
  5. Add your 2 1/2 tsp baking soda and your 1/4 cup of oil add your 2 tsp of vanilla and your 1/8 tsp of almond extract and your pinch of salt.
  6. Stir together with fork until smooth
  7. Pour into a large loaf pan and bake for about 45 min its ready when inserting a tooth pick and it comes out clean
  8. While baking your bread start your icing
  9. Cream your 2 tsp of butter in small bowl add the pinch of salt and start adding in the 1 cup of powered sugar add your 1/8 tsp of almond extract and the 2 tsp heavy cream. Cream together until smooth
  10. After your bread is ready take out of the loaf pan and place on a decorative plate
  11. While bread is still hot top with the icing it will run down the sides to make a elegant banana bread.
