chocolate honey margarine cake
I created a new cake recipe in the style of a chocolate mayonnaise cake. But instead of the mayonnaise, I decided to use honey margarine inside the cake and in the frosting.

Ingredients
- HONEY MARGARINE
- 2 1/2 sticks margarine
- 3/4 cup honey
- CAKE
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips, divided
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
How To Make chocolate honey margarine cake

Step 1To make the honey margarine, whisk the margarine and honey together in a small bowl until combined.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 3To make the cake, coat the bottom and sides of two 8" round cake pans with cooking spray. Add 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips into each cake pan.

Step 4In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, egg whites, 3 tablespoons honey margarine and chocolate syrup with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.

Step 5Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes.

Step 6In a large bowl, combine the whipped topping, cream cheese, brown sugar, 2 tablespoons honey margarine, and remaining chocolate chips; whisk well.

Step 7Place one layer of cake on a large plate. Spread with remaining honey margarine evenly. Top with the second layer cake. Spread the honey margarine frosting on the sides and top of the cake.

Step 8Cool for 8 minutes before serving.
