This is one of the richest cakes I have ever made. My family loved it so much I made it twice in one week! The ooey goodness of the brown sugar and cinnamon plus the glaze is enough to send you in a sugar shock. Just have a cold glas of milk close by to revive you,lol.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 8 oz
    sour cream
  • 3/4 c
    oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • GLAZE

  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla

How to Make Honey Bun Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven tp 325 and prepare 9x13 pan with bakers joy or grease and flour
  2. mix 1st four ingredients with a mixer until well blended
  3. in a bowl mix brown sugar and cinnamon
  4. Pour half of the cake batter in pan..pour brown sugar mixture ontop..pour remain batter ontop..with a rubber spatuala spread until the brown sugar is covered
  5. bake for 40 min in a 325 degree oven
  6. while cake is still slightly warm poke holes with a butter knife and prepare and pour glaze over slightly warm cake.
