Years ago my hubbie was stationed in Germany. While I was there I met some really nice ladies, and we would get together at least once a week for coffee and a treat. Helen Neff and I were around the same age, and we had our babies just months apart, and we had a lot in common. One of the things that Helen would make was this yummy cake, and I hadn't thought about it in years until Bea posted her recipe for the cake. There are similarities, but the recipies are a little different.

Ingredients
- 3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- pinch - salt

Step 1Helens directions are mix up together real well, and bake in a slow oven til done.

Step 2The temp would be 325 degrees and time about 1 1/2 hour.
