wheat bran
1 c
fat-free milk
1/2 c
natural applesauce
1 large
2/3 c
light brown sugar
1/2 tsp
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
whole wheat flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp
1 c
wymans wild blueberries, frozen, or any other brand wild blueberries

How to Make Healthy wild blueberry-bran muffins


  • 1Heat oven to 325. Spray muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In bowl, mix together wheat bran and milk. Let sit for 10 mins.
  • 2In lg bowl, mix together applesauce, egg, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat in bran mix. In another bowl, sift together flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • 3Stir dry mix into bran mix until moistened. Fold in blueberries. Spoon mix into muffin cups, 2/3 full. Bake 15-20 mins, or until tops spring back when touched.
