This is my husband's favorite birthday cake. In this photo, the cake has been decorated for my husband by my son who was 7 at the time. He used lots of jimmys! The cake is like the old Harvey Wallbanger drink, but in a delicious, moist cake-form. The Vodka and Galiano help make it moist and delicious.

Ingredients For harvey wallbanger cake

  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/2 c
    cooking oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    vodka
  • 1/4 c
    galliano liquor
  • 3/4 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 1/2 c
    unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 lb
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2/3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2/3 c
    demerara sugar
  • 2/3 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    galliano liquor

How To Make harvey wallbanger cake

    Put all cake ingredients in mixing bowl together, beat 4 minutes.

    Pour into bundt pan or 2 round cake pans.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 or 50 minutes.

    For frosting, use beaters to cream butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar, demerara sugar and light brown sugar together.

    Add orange juice and Galliano to thin the frosting to drizzle over bundt cake.
