guinness chocolate cake
I've used a Bundt pan and springform pan for this cake. Dusted it with confectioners' sugar for a pretty presentation.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Guinness draft beer
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 stick unsalted butter (add 2 Tbsp if you'd like)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- extra confectioners' sugar for dusting

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter and line a 9-inch springform pan.

Step 2Pour the Guinness into a large wide saucepan. Add the butter – in spoons or slices – and heat until the butter is melted.

Step 3Remove from heat and whisk in the cocoa and sugar.

Step 4Beat the sour cream with the eggs and vanilla. Then pour into the saucepan. Make sure you beat constantly so the egg does not cook.

Step 5Whisk in the flour and baking soda.

Step 6Pour the cake batter into the greased and prepared pan.

Step 8Leave to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack.
