This is a wonderfully moist and delicious chocolate cake. Surprisingly, the beer really enhanced the flavor of the chocolate, and the sour cream helped to make it so moist. If you are a chocolate lover then this is a must try. (And it was easy too!)

1 cGuinness draft beer

3/4 csour cream

1 stickunsalted butter (add 2 tbsp if you'd like)

1 Tbsppure vanilla extract

3/4 cunsweetened cocoa

2 call-purpose flour

3 cconfectioner's sugar

2 1/2 tspbaking soda
How To Make guinness chocolate cake

1Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter and line a 9-inch springform pan.

2Pour the Guinness into a large wide saucepan; add the butter – in spoons or slices – and heat until the butter's melted. Whisk in the cocoa and sugar.

3Beat the sour cream with the eggs and vanilla and then pour into the saucepan. Whisk in the flour and baking soda.

4Pour the cake batter into the greased and lined pan and bake for 45 minutes to an hour. Leave to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack.
