Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup soured milk (add 1 tsp. vinegar to milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- FROSTING
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 4 cups powdered sugar
How To Make granny's chocolate oil cake

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13 cake pan.

Step 2In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add the rest of the ingredients for the cake. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed

Step 3Pour into prepared pan, and bake 35 - 40 minutes until done.

Step 4When cake is almost done baking prepare frosting. Heat butter, cocoa, and milk to boiling. Pour over powdered sugar and mix well.

Step 5Allow cake to cool for about 10 minutes. Poke small holes in the cake, I use the end of a wooden spoon, then frost the cake while still warm.
